Emily and I saw the Band of Horses last night at the famed Showbox!
This was Emily and my third show with BOH (see show listings to the left) and it was by far the best. They had two opening bands. Tyler Ramsey and the drones. The drones sucked... (thus no link) But Tyler Ramsey was very good. Emily thought the fact that it was just him, his guitar and a drum machine was pretty impressive.
BOH put on a great show with a great mix from both albums. Their second album definitely does not disappoint.
The first time Em and I attended a BOH show was a little over a year ago. It was for my birthday and being my birthday I thought a few shots were in order. Seemed like a good idea at the time and reluctantly Emily obliged. In her defense she did try to warn me. Emily enjoyed the opening acts and half of the BOH show, but the we ended up having to cut out early because she did not feel so hot.
We both walked away with a lesson that night.
Ryan = don't pressure Emily into shots no matter what.
Emily= ignore Ryan when he forgets the lesson listed above....
